(December 19, 2007)– Misys Healthcare Systems (FTSE: MSY.L), a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced that Akademos Latam Inc. has purchased Misys EMR® and Misys Tiger® systems as a technology platform to begin offering advanced electronic medical record and practice management services to healthcare providers in Texas and New Mexico. The contract marks Akademos Latam’s initial push into the healthcare vertical market as an Application Service Provider (ASP) and extends the company’s current portfolio of offerings beyond IT consulting and managed services for general business clients.
