EL PASO, TEXAS - March 17, 2008 - We are proud to announce that Akademos Rx was one of the sponsors for this year's 31st TransMountain Challange. As sponsors Akademos Rx provided all T-shirts worn by volunteers this year. We chose the flashy green color (seen in picture below) as it provided maximum visibility for the safety of the volunteers as well as to honor the upcoming St. Patrick's day.

Race director Mike Coulter comments when asked why he thought the event was so popular: "The challenge. There's a net elevation gain of 2,000 feet from the start to the top. It's 5,280 feet at the top, and not everybody can do that. It's just the sheer challenge of conquering the mountain, and the scenery is phenomenal."
